ELEMENTARY EDUCATION – EXEMPLIFICATIONS IN PRACTICE

The aim of the conference is to depict similarities and differences and to present the changes in elementary education within a range of school systems structure, methodological – and pedagogical training work arrangement, methodological and curriculum concepts in the selected European Community countries.
Making comparable analyses, presenting the knowledge and experiences concerning the condition of contemporary elementary education in these countries will enable to exchange the views on the subject of educating and bringing up children in the educational transformation period, paying a special attention to all the subjects of education, individualization of teaching and innovative look at the children with special educational needs in the chosen countries.
The school task aims at preparing the future citizen for an active life in informative society through the effective usage of modern information and communication technologies in educative, social, professional and personal activities in order to update the knowledge, enhance own competences, use the culture achievements; making the quality of life and spending leisure time higher.
Thus, the elementary education teacher faces up to numerous dilemmas which require to undertake discussion in theoretical and practical aspects.
